Patient Information

Patient Identification
Each time you present to our clinic you will be asked to provide 3 points of identification, which may include your full name, date of birth, address, or a Medicare/pension/health care card number. Please let us know if any of your details have changed before your appointment. If you prefer not to verbally give this information, you may write it down or hand over your driver’s license.

Waiting times
For new patients, we advise to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow enough time to complete a new patient form. If you are a returning patient, please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment. We understand that waiting times that cause delay to your schedule and we try our best to ensure that you are seen promptly upon your arrival. However, in case this is not possible we ask for your understanding and patience. Delays may be caused by unforeseen circumstances that might require urgent or prolonged attention by our medical staff.

Fees
General consults and skin checks are all bulk billed for individuals with a current Medicare card.
A fee may incur for certain cosmetic or medical procedures depending on the type, location, and complexity of the treatment. Refer to our Treatments and Offers pages for more information on cosmetic fees. Alternatively, you can contact reception at 5531 4260 or email us at [email protected]

Bookings
Appointment bookings can be made by contacting our friendly reception staff on 5531 4260 during our business hours. Our staff will do their very best to secure a time that is suited to your availability. Please note that we do not accept any walk-ins as we operate around cosmetic procedures and set appointment times to allow for a thorough consultation with the doctor.

Parking
1. There is free 3-hour parking on Lawson Street (next to Southport Central Tower 2).

2. There is 2-hour free ground floor parking at Australia Fair Metro located conveniently on Garden Street. This park can be seen right next to the roundabout on Garden Street to the side of the central towers.

Patient feedback
Here at Southport Skin Cosmetic and Medical Clinic we take pride in ensuring that each patient has a comfortable experience that addresses their needs. If you have any concerns or complaints, we encourage you to discuss this with our staff at any point in time. Alternatively, patient feedback forms can be found in the waiting area and can be placed in the feedback forms box. Complaints or concerns will be conveyed to practice management in order to best resolve the issue.

Zero Tolerance
We do not tolerate any form of verbal and/or physical abuse towards the members of our clinic. Any person exhibiting aggressive or violent behaviour will be asked to leave the premises and security will be alerted.

Communication
For any questions and appointment bookings please contact our friendly reception team. Appointments are available Monday to Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm.

Social Media
The Code of Conduct contains guidance about the required standards of professional behaviour, which apply to a health practitioner whether they are interacting with a patient in person or online. Communication will not be responded to via social media.

Privacy policy
All personal information you provide us with would be treated strictly confidential. It is the policy of this practice to always maintain security of personal health information and to ensure this information is only available for authorised members and staff in compliance with the Privacy Act. Please be advised that, while we collect your personal information, we never share it with third parties without your written consent.
